Nelson Mandela School

Nelson Mandela School

The Nelson Mandela School is an international public school in Berlin with students and teachers from all around the world.  As the school name is inspired by the ideas of Nelson Mandela and the school sees itself as a “Miniature United Nations”, it is intensively trying to keep the contact to the people outside of the school and to improve the world by its engagement.

The Nelson Mandela School has been participating in the project “work for peace” initiated by the German NGO “World Peace Service” (Weltfriedensdienst e.V.) for many years. Since 2005, when LekaGape was an official partner of the “work for peace” project, the Nelson Mandela School supported LekaGape.

Within the last three years a close relationship between LekaGape and the Nelson Mandela School has been intensified. Since 2007 LekaGape and the Nelson Mandela School are planning to create an exchange program. With to the network of both partners, the Kingfisher Private School in Phalaborwa and the Moroka Swallows FC in Johannesburg has also been invited to participate in this exchange program.
