“Save the trees!”, is Franz first thinking when he saw the flat crown and teak trees, as well as the baobabes which were nibbled by the free running cows and goats on the built up grounds in Lulekani.
The future student of mechanical engineering, aviation- and space travel technology was responsible for teaching children at the age of five to twelve in German and English for eleven months in the Shelter. Moreover, he was liable for the childcare during their homework.
By participating in the project “A chance to play” the future student helped with maintenance and care of green spaces which have to develop a park area.
Thus some may develop an invigorating green area, Franz had the helpfully idea of fencing the trees separately to protect them against wild free running livestock. On that way: “Save the trees!”
