LekaGape is a private organization (NGO) in Lulekani, a former township close to Phalaborwa in the Northeast of South Africa. The organization was founded by a German social worker in 1997.LekaGape means in the African language Sotho: "Try it again!". The key aim of LekaGape is to improve the living condition of the people in this region. Our projects, which are always done in cooperation with locals, mainly focus on young people and women.

The help of LekaGape aims at the field of social work as well as at the field of economic development. For example, a bakery was built. Besides the local government LekaGape has become the most important employer in Lulekani with more than 30 employees. On the social sector, a shelter was opened to give abused women and children a safe haven.
